Winner – Tour de France 2018 Betting Tips

Winner – Tour de France 2018 : Until very recently, it seemed impossible that one rider could win the 3 great tours in the same year
But Chris Froome proved that it was possible and therefore, he has all the conditions to be the first rider to do the double of Tour and Giro since Marco Pantani in 1998.
In fact, it’s always very fatiguing to run and win the Giro like Chris Froome did but the Brit clearly wasn’t in the peak of his form and we can say that he was only at his true level in the Mount Zoncolan and at the Colle Delle Finéstre,
which makes me believe he will hit his peak at the Grand Boucle, and that’s what Chris Froome is a master at, managing his peaks of form, something that Richie Porte, for example, could learn a lot from him.
With colossus like Tourmalet or Alpe D’Huez returning and with the inclusion of the Col de Portet, we have the return of a kind of climbs where Froome is clearly comfortable,
mountains with a high average steepness but without great “walls”, which will certainly favour Froome and Tom Dumoulin especially.
It is certain that there will be some traps for Froome and his team, such as the pavé stage during the first week or the mountain stage with less than 70 km’s but on the pavé stage,
his main opposition would be V.Nibali but Nibali left a clear impression at the Dauphiné that he shouldn’t be on his peak of form going into this Tour.
The main rivals of Froome should be R.Porte and the Movistar duo – Nairo Quintana and Mikel Landa. Richie Porte has everything to be the winner of a Grand Tour, but he seems to always lack something.
Either he manages his peaks incorrectly or he is poorly positioned inside the peloton and then his final performance in the Tour is compromised heavily by some falls.
Winner – Tour de France 2018 – Betting Tip and Prediction:
As for Movistar they might be victims of their own quality, with three leaders on the road, namely Quintana, Landa and Valverde, without having a lot of riders to work for those leaders, even because now there are only 8 riders per team.
Nairo Quintana seems to be, within Movistar, the most capable of contesting Froome, but he can be heavily penalized on the pavé stage and on the individual time-trial.
As for Landa, he is maybe overvalued, because it is certain that he has never won a Grand Tour, or had the responsibilities of leading that he will have now and to know how to deal with that,
it also takes some champion material and it is still early to know if the Spaniard has what it takes.
