São Paulo vs Fluminense Betting Tips

São Paulo vs Fluminense – Brazilian Serie A :São Paulo hosts Fluminense this Sunday at the Morumbi
A victory is essential to maintain itself comfortable in the leadership of the league.
Being leader in such a long and tight league as the Brazilian Serie A isn’t easy at all but maintaining themselves as leaders is even worse.
Teams that tend to be closer, that don’t take the initiative naturally, and that has been making life difficult for the team from São Paulo.
The team is coming off a victory at home against Ceará, 1-0 with a goal at the end of the match, after having serious difficulties in breaching the defence, and on the previous round, 1-1 with Paraná, once again with difficulties.
At home, they’re strong, favourites, but they tend to have low-scoring matches, with the team trying to reinvent themselves after being more observed by their opponents.
Fluminense went through a transformation in the middle of the season, after Abel Braga decided to leave due to the club’s internal issues.
Marcelo Oliveira took the job, making the team a bit more competitive, balanced, but their huge technical difficulty is still visible.
The team is in 10th place with 26 points, they are much closer to the relegation zone than the Libertadores’ zone,
and they come into this encounter with an important absence, the center forward Pedro, that is the league’s top goal scorer, is still out, and it seems that the team isn’t able to replace the technical quality of the young goal scorer.
São Paulo vs Fluminense – Betting Tip and Prediction:
It seems that São Paulo is better, that at home they can be more aggressive to be able to continue in the lead.
Fluminense, without their best player, playing away from home, tends to be more closed, and make the actions of the home side more difficult.
But at the end of the day, São Paulo is a better team and in my opinion, they should win this match, even if it is by a slim margin.
