Poland vs Portugal Betting Tip and Prediction

Poland vs Portugal – UEFA Nations League :The Polish national team was one of the biggest disappointments of the last World Cup
By being eliminated on a very balanced group, however where the Poles were expected to advance and even take advantage of the fact they didn’t exactly have a powerhouse to be able to surprise in a positive way.
Well, after the 2nd round, their elimination was certain, after the losses against Senegal, by 1-2, and with Colombia, by 0-3.
The weak performance on the competition, allied to the very questionable options of Adam Nawalka has led to the Polish FA switching managers and take a chance on Jerzy Brzeczek, who is 47 years old.
On his debut, he managed to snatch some points against Italy, in Bologna, with a 1-1 draw, on a match where the Poles
were actually in the lead and managed to hold on to their advantage until the last 15 minutes of the match.
A couple of days later, the first match in Polish soil, on a friendly played in Wroclaw, against the Republic of Ireland, where Brzeczek ended up making some experiments, a strategy that ended up not working out very well, since the match finished with a 1-1 draw and
Poland would only respond to the goal conceded at the 53rd minute on the 87th minute, on a match where, despite everything, they had more initiative and created more chances.
The Portuguese team features in the Nations League again, after a start where they’ve beaten Italy, by 1-0, on a match where they were superior to the Italians, at Estádio da Luz.
However, the return to competition after their participation in the World Cup in Russia, where they couldn’t go further than the 8th finals, where they’ve dropped against Uruguay, happened on a friendly played roughly a month ago, in Algarve, against the World vice-
The match finished with a 1-1 draw. However, Portugal left a good impression and they even did enough to be able to score more and win the match. However, they weren’t able to be effective when it came to scoring and the match ended up in a draw.
The great absence on the list of called-up players by Fernando Santos is once again Cristiano Ronaldo, the “best player in the world”, that asked the FA not to be called up for the 2nd consecutive time.
Poland vs Portugal – Betting Tip and Prediction:
On the matches they’ve played a month ago, Portugal has shown quality and it seems like Fernando Santos is starting to open his eyes to the quality of the choices he has at his disposal,
in order to try and take more initiative in their matches and try to go on the attack more with the confidence they can score some goals, instead of playing more cautiously, just like they’ve been doing practically since he took control of the team.
The absence of CR7 wasn’t noticeable and I believe that the chemistry of the team even works better without Juventus’ striker,
with some pieces that might even stand out more, such as Bernardo Silva and André Silva, two players that have been standing out in the Premier League and in La Liga at this start of the season.
Poland, additionally, doesn’t deserve great consideration, since their football has been in decline and, individually, they are a team with
inferior quality when compared to the Portuguese national team.
Except for Lewandowski and eventually Zielinski, there won’t be many more Polish players being able to overcome the Portuguese.
That way and adding all of this to what I’ve seen from the two teams a month ago, I believe that there is a lot of value in taking Portugal to win the match while protecting the draw.
